VERY INTERESTING-

1. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!

3. Noah built the ark in Iraq

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq !

6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq !

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel

10. Amos cried out in Iraq !

11 Babylon , which is in Iraq , destroyed Jerusalem

12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq !

13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the Fiery Furnace!)

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the 'writing on the wall' in Iraq

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq

16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq ...

17. The wise men were from Iraq

18. Peter preached in Iraq

19. The 'Empire of Man' described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a cityinIraq!

And you have probably seen this one: Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible.

But do you know which nation is second?

It is Iraq !

However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible

The names used in the Bible are Babylon , Land of Shinar , and Mesopotamia . The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris

And Euphrates Rivers

The name Iraq , means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel , has more history and prophecy associated

With it than Iraq

And also, This is something to think about:Since America is typically represented by an eagle.

Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages....

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran (9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah;

And there was peace.

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm

Great Recipe for a peace-filled life

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk
(run) every day.  And while you walk, smile.  It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.  Talk to God about
what is going on in your life.  Buy a lock if you have to.

3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement,
'My purpose is to __________ today. I am thankful for______________'

4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

5. Drink green tea and plenty of water.   Eat things like
blueberries, wild Alaskan salmo n, broccoli , almonds & walnuts.

6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control.  Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
Life is too short to waste time hating anyone

8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a
 peasant.

9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

10.
Do what you say. Be reliable, honest and accounta ble

11. Don't take yourself so seriously.  No one else does.

12.  You are not so important that you have to win every argument.
Agree to disagree.

13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

14. Don't compare your life to others.  You have no idea what their
journey is all about.

15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?'

17. Forgive ev eryone for everything.

18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

19. GOD heals everything  - but you have to ask Him.

20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

21. Your friends
will take care of you when you are sick.   Stay in touch!!!

22. Envy is a waste of time.  You already have all you need.

23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements:
I am thankful for __________.   Today I accomplished _________.

24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings.
You'll be smiling before you know it.

Send this to everyone you care about
,  I just did!

FROM THE PULPIT TO THE PEW

AS THE OLD YEAR FADES IN TO THE MISTS OF THE PAST, LETS TAKE A MOMENT TO LOOK BACK AT OUR JOURNEY THROUGH 2008.
WE HAD FOUR BAPTISMS, FOUR TRANSFERS, ONE WEDDING & ONE NENEWAL OF WEDDING VOWS. WE HAD AN AVERAGE ATTENDANCE OFAPPROXIMATELY FORTY-ONE A WEEK.
WE PUT NEW PANELING IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL, BOUGHT NEW TABLES & CHAIRS, BUILT A STORAGE ADDITATION ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF CHURCH & INSTALLED A NEW THERMOST.
OUR YOUNG YOUTH GROUP IS STRONG & ACTIVE THANKS TO ELLEN, KERRY BROOKE, DEBBIE & LE-ANN & THE LADIES WHO HELP & COOK DINNER FOR THEM. WE HAVE A WENDSDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY. WE HAVE A MINISTRY AT HILLVIEW NURSING HOME ON THE THIRD MONDAY OF EACH MONTH AT TWO P.M.
WE THANK GOR FOR THE BLESSING IN OUR LIVES & OUR CHURCH IN THE PAST YEAR & THAT HE TOOK THE PRAYERS FOR THOSE WE LIFTED UP TO HIS THRONE OF GRACE & ANSWERED THEM IN HIS WISDOM & MERCY.
AND NOW AS THE OLD YEAR FADES INTO THE MISTS OF THE PAST & THE NEW YEAR OPENS UP BEFORE US, LET US GO FORTH WITH HIM WHO SAYS
"BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW & I WILL BE WITH YOU EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE.
YOURS IN CHRIST
